  Pocahontas County Public Health - Home Health Care

Pocahontas County Health Department is a Medicare/Medicaid certified agency. Home health care services are available to all qualifying residents of Pocahontas County. Home care can be utilized to help treat, restore, rehabilitate or maintain a person safely in their home.

Services available include:
Skilled Nursing
Home Health Aide
Physical Therapy
Occupational Therapy
Speech Therapy
Case Management
Blood Pressure Screening at Meal Sites and in Office
Better Living Program

IMMUNIZATIONS
Childhood and adult immunizations are available at the Pocahontas County Health Department Immunization Clinics. An assessment of immunization history will be done to advise what immunizations are needed. These clinics are twice a month at the office. There is no charge for vaccine for those who qualify. FLU CLINICS
Influenza vaccines are available in the fall. Please call Pocahontas County Health Department for dates and locations of these clinics.

COMMUNICABLE DISEASES
Surveillance and Investigation of communicable disease are an ongoing function of Pocahontas County Health Department. Call PCHD at 712-335-4142 for questions concerning communicable diseases.
